Chinese New Year 2010, Year of the Tiger!


Kung Hei Fat Choy! 14th February will bring in the Chinese New Year, and this year will be the Year of the Tiger! This is one of the biggest and most popular sections at Activity Village, and we have so many ideas to help you enjoy Chinese New Year and study China, its people and its customs. And of course, this year we have added all sorts of tiger crafts and printables, too!

Traditional Chinese Games - Huge New Section!

To link in with our Chinese New Year page, we have just added a huge (and growing) collection of Traditional Chinese Games which you can enjoy with your family. You will find playground games such as Catch The Dragon's Tail and Forcing The City Gates, quiet guessing games like Fingers Out, traditional girl's games like "Look For Gold", similar to Jacks or Knucklebones, and lots more!

Chinese New Year Crafts and Puzzles - Lots New!

We have been busy creating some really fantastic new craft ideas for Chinese New Year, including a Chinese Lion Dance costume, a Chinese Dragon from egg boxes, a Chinese Lion puppet, a "Bowl of Oranges" collage, a Chinese firecracker, and lots more.
