More Ancient Egypt - this time some fun crafts

We have added a great collection of Ancient Egypt crafts today, which Tracy did with her girls. It looks like they had lots of fun, and they certainly did a great job! They mummified a fashion doll and then made it its own mummy case, built a pyramid out of sugar lumps, and modelled some fantastic canopic jars.

Rainforest Maths - lots of maths fun for kids

I've just stumbled across this excellent website, which presents 7 years of primary maths activities in a bright and cheerful format which kids will love to come back to again and again. Great for reinforcing skills and revision, there are hundreds of activities which they can choose and explanation as well as exercises. Well worth checking out and bookmarking.

Fourth of July - new crafts

Sarah and Jack have been terribly busy this week making some really original Fourth of July crafts for us all to enjoy - including a Statue of Liberty crown and torch (a wonderful transformation from some kitchen foil and a cardboard roll), an Uncle Sam hat, an Independence Day mobile and a sun visor for your Fourth of July picnic. You can also make a Fourth of July raft to float on the pond (or in your bath), some fireworks paintings, and a 3D fireworks display or mobile. Please take a look:
